a little update on Emmalee

Emmalee is 2.5 years old! She has been completely potty-trained for few months now which was easy, she was totally ready. She also is done with naps! It was taking 30-45 mins just to get her down for a nap and she usually didn't sleep for much more than an hour. Then she would stay up way past 9pm at night, so I figured, FORGET THE NAP THING! And it's working out well. She usually falls asleep in the van on the way home from 'work', but she is asleep much easier at night and goes down around 8pm instead of 9:30.
She does great with spending time at Isaac and Soren's house, she adjusted well to that situation (how could she not? We have a blast!). Isaac is two months older than her and everywhere we go people ask if they are twins. That's because they actually do look alike and they do EVERYTHING together. They are so much like twins! Sure they have their ups and downs, but they love each other, they play together, they hug each other, they hold hands sometimes, they follow each other around everywhere, it's so much fun to watch. They really do adore each other and I enjoy watching their little friendship grow.
Emmalee and Isaac will be going to a little preschool class together soon. It starts in a couple of weeks and it is just 2 hours on Mondays. Then when fall starts we hope to get them in a dance class and a preschool class together. I can't wait to see Emmalee enjoying her preschool, I know she will love this! We dropped Isaac off on Fridays for a couple of months and I know she wanted to stay there with him, but we hadn't enrolled her yet.
She absolutely loves playgrounds, Shrek, water play, spending time with all different family members, Pee Wee's Playhouse, and oh boy does she LOVE fruit leathers!
More big news? Emmalee is going to have a new baby cousin! I am thrilled to say (type?) that my sister is expecting December 28th! The Fregonese baby is due the day before Emmalee turns three. What an exciting time of year that will be. I'm all giddy over it! It is so fun to watch my sister go through all the amazing changes of pregnancy and motherhood.

Here are some random pictures of Emmalee from the last month. She has so many different 'looks'...
